Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has responded to socialite Huddah Monroe after she refunded the Sh10,000 he had sent her.

The two have engaged in a public back-and-forth, with both parties sharing their side of the story on social media.

The disagreement began when Huddah took to her Instagram stories to reveal that she had returned the money sent by Salasya.

She shared screenshots of her Mpesa transaction, showing that she had refunded Sh10,000 to the MP.

In her post, she explained that the amount was insignificant to her. "This guy sent me Ksh 10,000, which I didn’t even notice coz I do Ksh 50,000 giveaways. Usiniharibie jina coz of $80,” she wrote.

Adding: “Bro wacha members wajue nilirudisha pesa Ya chakula ya kuku.”

Huddah didn’t stop there, as she threw in a jab at the MP, adding, "Mimi si kienyeji bro, tafuta size yako," implying that Salasya should look for someone more compatible with him.

In response, Salasya took to his Instagram page, posting a lengthy message about the situation.

He stated that he had sent Huddah the money while he was in Mombasa, out of sympathy, claiming she had been asking him for money via WhatsApp.

“She was asking money from me through WhatsApp hadi akanipa number yake ya Kenya nikamuonea huruma nikasema let me Just help her with 10000 while I was in Mombasa, “wrote Salasya.

Salasya further explained that he believed Huddah owned a beauty shop in Nairobi, but later realized that she did not.

Additionally, Salasya addressed Huddah's comments about the money being insignificant.

"Nimefika Uganda vizuri... She edited an Mpesa ati ali receive 2M yet we know in Kenya the maximum is 500k,” he claimed.

Salasya concluded by stating he would no longer associate with socialites, saying that he prefers to live in reality and be honest, unlike those who "fake it."

“From today henceforth I will never want to associate myself with a socialite. Yes it's good to fake it until you make it but most of socialites suffer a lot let them live in reality and be real like me. Am more richer than her and I forgive her for calling my 10k lunch for kuku na ni yeye aliitisha pesa na hiyo ni school fees ama pesa ya mchango matanga mbili,”he concluded.
