American martial arts legend and action film star Cynthia Rothrock has been touring Kenya, sharing the highlights of her African adventure with her global fan base.

The screen icon took to her official Facebook page to document her travels, capturing the hearts of local and international followers alike.

Among the standout moments of her trip is a striking photo of her performing her signature martial arts split at the famous Equator Marker in Nanyuki.

The landmark is a highly popular tourist destination where visitors have the unique opportunity to stand across both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres simultaneously.

Alongside her gravity-defying athletic displays, the legendary actress also shared several heartwarming images of herself interacting with members of the local Maasai community.

"For my African fans... I’ll be posting two photos every day for a week from the time I spent on your beautiful continent. I hope to go back in the future," she wrote in one of her posts.

In another post showcasing her impressive flexibility, she added a caption reading, "At the Equator Marker in Nanyuki, Kenya, split between the Northern and Southern Hemisphere."

Rothrock is widely regarded as a pioneer for women in action cinema.

She is a five-time World Karate Champion in forms and weapons, remaining completely undefeated in her division during her competitive prime in the early 1980s.

She holds high-ranking black belts in several distinct martial arts disciplines, including Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, Eagle Claw Kung Fu, and Wu Shu.

Her exceptional physical skills eventually caught the attention of film producers in Hong Kong, leading to her cinematic debut in the legendary 1985 action movie Yes, Madam.

In that film, she starred alongside future Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh, delivering ground-breaking fight choreography that helped define the girls-with-guns genre.

Following her massive success in Asia, Rothrock transitioned back to Western cinema, starring in beloved action hits such as China O'Brien and Lady Dragon.

Her prolific career throughout the 1980s and 1990s cemented her status as one of the most recognisable and influential martial arts stars in the world.

Her extensive contributions to martial arts and film have earned her numerous prestigious honours. She was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.

Two years later, the Martial Arts History Museum officially bestowed upon her the title of "The Queen of Martial Arts" to celebrate her enduring legacy.
