Ghanaian designer and visual artist Hashim has captured the attention of the global fashion scene after American singer Swae Lee wore one of his signature creations during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.

The Rae Sremmurd star stepped onto the stage at MetLife Stadium on July 19 wearing a standout yellow jacket from Hashim's Flower Boy collection as he performed the hit song Sunflower alongside Post Malone.

The high-profile appearance introduced the Ghanaian creative's work to millions of viewers during one of the world's biggest sporting events.

Swae Lee paired the cropped jacket with brown leather python skin trousers and layered chains, creating a bold stage look that quickly drew praise from fashion enthusiasts online.

The jacket is one of the standout pieces from Hashim's Flower Boy collection. It features an asymmetrical front opening inspired by sunflower petals, exposing part of the wearer's torso when left unfastened.

The design is finished with Flower Boy logos across the chest, bold "HASHIM" and "FLOWERBOY" lettering running down the sleeves, and a circular brown patch representing the flower's centre.

Many fans also pointed out the fitting connection between Swae Lee performing Sunflower while wearing a jacket from the Flower Boy collection, calling it a clever visual pairing that elevated both the performance and the outfit.

Hashim, who also goes by Hasheem, first made a name for himself as a graphic artist and illustrator before branching into fashion. His distinctive artwork has been used by some of Africa's biggest music stars, including Black Sherif, Juls and KiDi.

His creative portfolio also includes promotional visuals for Davido's A.W.A.Y Festival and editorial illustrations for Rolling Stone's feature on Nigerian superstar Rema, helping establish him as one of Ghana's most exciting multidisciplinary creatives.

In recent years, Hashim has expanded his creative vision into fashion, producing collections that fuse streetwear with bold artistic expression. His catalogue includes graphic T-shirts, tracksuits, knit tote bags and statement pieces inspired by African youth culture.

His profile rose significantly with the launch of the Flower Boy capsule collection in 2025, which featured standout designs including the Bina Leather Skirt, tailored shorts and the now instantly recognisable statement jackets.
