Dr Pranav Pancholi is a triple board-certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is the owner and founder of Avane Clinic. Beyond his unparalleled expertise in skincare and aesthetic medicine, Dr Pancholi has a refined taste for sophisticated living. An artistry that extends seamlessly into his home and ventures.
From the moment I stepped through his gates, I was captivated by the lush garden. The driveway, lined with carefully curated greenery, exudes a regal ambiance, hinting at the splendor of Dr. Pancholi mansion.
The architectural brilliance of the house is undeniable, with an inviting pool, a lavish hot tub, and a steam bath seamlessly integrated into the landscape. But it is the details of the character-laden interior and the statement pieces that set this home apart.
One of the first things that strikes me is the sheer presence of the front door. This is no ordinary entryway; it is a bold statement. Heavy and sturdy, its grand proportions defy the conventional, exuding both strength and personality. The intricate combination of resin and wood gives it an exquisite touch, a piece of art in itself.
Inside, a true masterpiece commands attention—a guitar unlike any other. Remodeled by the late renowned artist and conservationist Anthony Russell, who sadly passed away in February 2025 (may his soul rest in peace), this piece is a testament to his genius.
In the 1960s, the Congolese guitar was an extraordinary fusion of cultures and histories, each element meticulously chosen. At its core sits a Sudanese lip ring, a striking centerpiece.
Delicate cowrie shells from Yemen adorn its frame, while intricate beadwork from Iran adds layers of texture and symbolism. The front features Ugandan crane bones, while the back is crafted from a snake’s vertebrae. The handle, ingeniously designed from Maasai spears, further shows Russell’s unparalleled creativity.
A guitar without strings, yet its presence is utterly captivating. Encased in glass, it stands as a showpiece, an artifact of artistry and heritage, a conversation starter, and a legacy preserved.
The divider is a striking masterpiece crafted from wood and designed with an eye-catching style that extends seamlessly from the ceiling to the floor.
More than just a partition, it elegantly separates the living room while maintaining an open, sophisticated feel.
The first living room is a refined space, curated exclusively for guests who may not venture into the main house. Here, plush grey sofas and two stunningly artistic, ultra-comfortable turquoise seats make a timeless statement.
Expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows flood the space with natural light, creating an airy yet luxurious ambiance.
Designed with both style and function in mind, the space is perfect for relaxation. The grey velvet sofas seem tailor-made for a bachelor. One of the most intriguing features in this space is the dynamic wooden divider. It moves effortlessly to conceal the television. Beneath it all, a white and red patterned carpet injects warmth and a welcoming charm.
Throughout the house, sea-themed art pieces adorn the walls, their calming hues evoking a sense of serenity and connection to nature. Each one adds to the home’s unique personality, balancing contemporary elegance with a tranquil atmosphere.
The living room is a masterpiece of eclectic design, effortlessly blending Scandinavian-style seating in shades of grey and cream. The grey luxurious sofas are deep, and adorned with matching grey cushions, creating an effortlessly chic and cohesive look. But the true showstopper? A striking concave ocean-themed art piece, its depth and detail commanding the space.
Directly opposite stands a meticulously arranged display shelf. “I have traveled to over 52 countries, and once you fly first class, they award you this souvenir. This is my collection,” he said.
The flooring is another detail that shows thoughtful design. Though wooden in appearance, it carries the sleek durability of ceramic an ideal choice.
The dining area is a masterful blend of resin, wood, and glass that exudes sophistication. The chair and table design are truly one of a kind, with an impeccable fusion of turquoise, brown, and gold finishes that radiate elegance.
In the living room, a magnificent art piece with a striking copper finish stands tall, adding a touch of glam. Lush greenery, carefully placed in various corners of the home, breathes life into the space, creating a refreshing and natural ambiance.
The sleek black kitchen is divine. “I traveled to LA and was inspired by a friend’s black kitchen it was a game-changer,” he shares.
Ascending the staircase, the warm glow of the light fixtures casts an inviting elegance, setting the stage for the upper floor’s grandeur.
His master bedroom is a masterpiece of minimalism pristine, cinematic, and utterly luxurious. The dark gypsum ceiling, infused with star-like lighting, transforms the space into a private theatre.
Sink-in, plush light-blue sofas are arranged in a theatre-style setting, facing a gigantic television, making the room feel like a sanctuary of both comfort and entertainment.
The walk-in closet room is a vision of perfection. The wooden flooring adds warmth and character, while the oversized windows, dressed in soft white sheers and grey curtains, frame breathtaking views. Even the guest room, though minimalistic, offers an inviting retreat with scenic vistas.
Every detail in this home is thoughtfully curated, right down to the LED lighting efficient, locally made, and undeniably stylish.
Dr. Pancholi’s home is where science meets style an exquisite fusion of artful interiors and statement pieces that reflect his deep passion for aesthetics, much like his approach to dermatology. His impeccably curated space is a testament to innovation, blending modern elegance with timeless design.
