Thousands of passionate Arsenal fans shrugged off a relentless Nairobi downpour to pack Konqa254 for what turned out to be one of the most electrifying football watch parties the country has witnessed.

The man behind the spectacle? None other than Robbie Lyle, the iconic founder of Arsenal Fan TV (AFTV).

The major draw for the event was the high-stakes Premier League clash between Arsenal and Liverpool, a match that ended in heartbreak for the Gunners.

Yet, not even a 2-0 deficit at halftime could dent the Kenyan spirit.

“Even at 2-0 down, nobody walked out. In England, fans would have left. But not here. These fans? 10 out of 10,” said a visibly impressed Robbie.

The event, pulled over 1,500 devoted fans into a whirlwind of football chants, roars of encouragement, and sheer adrenaline.

But this was no ordinary match-day gathering, it felt more like a football festival, with a vibe so wild it could rival any fan zone across Europe.

“This wasn’t just a watch party. It was insane. And the creative talent we’ve encountered here has been mind-blowing,” Robbie said.

Lyle wasn’t alone. He was accompanied by Cecil Jee Thomas, ex-footballer and AFTV presenter, as they embarked on a wider Nairobi tour that included media appearances, fan meetups, and grassroots football clinics.

AFTV crew was in the country on a mission to spotlight Kenya’s vibrant football culture and inspire local creators.

“Football isn’t just a game, it’s a lifestyle. And nobody lives it louder than Kenyan fans,” said Betika Group CEO Mutua Mutava.

Robbie, who has long acknowledged the passionate Arsenal community in Kenya, finally got to connect with them face-to-face.

“Kenya has one of the most passionate football communities in the world. I’ve always wanted to connect directly with fans here and experience that passion, AFTV style,” he shared.

And for budding content creators, Robbie had a powerful message: patience and consistency.

“We started from zero, just the two of us filming in the rain outside the Emirates. Don’t expect millions of views overnight. If you’re doing it right, and doing it with heart, the results will come,” he advised.
