Tears, grief, and sorrow cast over Kirigu-ini village in Ndumberi during the burial of 12-year-old Bridget Njoki, who was killed by a stray police bullet during the Saba Saba demonstrations.

Videos shared online captured deeply emotional scenes as Njoki's school band, where she was a proud member, played somber tunes while dressed in their scouts' uniforms.

As her small white coffin was lowered into the ground, grief overwhelmed the students; some broke down in tears, while others could no longer play their instruments.

One girl, in particular, stood out; she played the bass drum while tears streamed down her face, struggling to keep pace with the music.

The weight of losing Njoki, her friend and bandmate, was visibly too much to bear.

Other band members were equally devastated, with some collapsing in grief and having to be supported by their fellow scouts.

The sorrow was palpable, and the video has since touched thousands online.

Moved by the videos, social media users reacted strongly, condemning the tragic circumstances that led to Njoki's death.

"Somebody hug that drum girl for me," Rousey wrote.

"If hauja mwaga machozi kwa hii story ya Njoki you have a strong heart," added Betty K.

Omnipresent@47 asked, "Which government is this, making children cry this way?"

Njoki was reportedly watching TV at home when she was fatally struck by a bullet.

Politicians in attendance were not allowed to speak, as the family and community chose to focus on mourning the life of the promising young girl.
