Tracy Nabukeera, the reigning Miss Tanzania 2023, has announced her decision to withdraw from the Miss World 2025 competition.
According to her statement, she cited lack of support and inadequate preparation from the organising body.
She further expressed that the choice though difficult, was necessary to stay true to her values and ensure she could represent her country with confidence and empowerment.
“This was not an easy choice, but due to a lack of support, proper communication, and adequate preparation from the organization responsible, I no longer felt aligned or empowered enough to represent Tanzania on such a global stage,” she stated.
She emphasised her commitment to self-respect and the importance of being fully equipped to carry a national title.
“This decision comes from a place of love—for myself, my supporters, and for the values I stand for. I believe that when you carry a national title, you deserve to be fully supported and equipped to thrive,” she said.
Despite stepping back from the global pageant, she maintained that she remains proud of her role as Miss Tanzania and is dedicated to making a difference through her platform.
She highlighted her ongoing project, Step by Step, which focuses on creating positive impact and inspiring others. “I will continue using my platform to inspire, serve, and make an impact,” she said.
The beauty queen further extended gratitude to her supporters for their patience and kindness throughout her journey.
