The ongoing feud between comedian Oga Obinna and socialite Amber Ray has intensified following a fallout regarding their past collaboration on a music video project.

The controversy resurfaced after Obinna addressed the matter on his comedy show My Mistakes, expressing disappointment over Amber Ray’s decision to pull out of appearing in his music video. According to the media personality, their friendship has been strained ever since the incident.

"I would not call it a beef between me, Amber Ray, or Rapudo. But during the shoot for Kado, Amber was supposed to play the lead as my love interest. We had agreed on payment. On the day of the shoot, they arrived late and seemed slightly intoxicated. When filming began, she refused to let me dance with her," Obinna said during the show.

Amber Ray, however, responded on Instagram, disputing Obinna’s account.

While she admitted to enjoying a drink now and then, she denied acting inappropriately or unprofessionally.

"I have never hidden the fact that I enjoy my drink. My followers know that is part of who I am, and I embrace it fully. But I have never let it interfere with my responsibilities. If I had, there would be endless videos of me being drunk and disorderly," she stated.

Amber Ray also acknowledged arriving late to the shoot and apologised for it, but rejected the claim that she had been out drinking beforehand. She further revealed that the appearance in the music video was not paid work, as she had agreed to do it as a favour.

"Yes, I was late and I sincerely apologise. But the narrative that I was somewhere drinking carelessly is both unfair and false. Let us be honest, this was not a paid job. It was a favour, just like the many times I have shown up for your shows when you asked. I never hesitated because I believe in supporting each other," she wrote.

Her husband, Kennedy Rapudo, also weighed in on the matter, breaking his social media silence to criticise Obinna for airing the disagreement publicly rather than handling it privately.

"This matter should have been resolved behind closed doors. You fell out, I don’t know how many months ago or maybe even a year, and you do not owe bloggers any explanation," Rapudo remarked.

Addressing Obinna directly, Rapudo admitted that Amber Ray had been intoxicated on the day in question but maintained that she had not acted unprofessionally.

"Even if my wife drinks wine or alcohol, I have no issue with that. I was present that day. Yes, she was high. Yes, she was late. But she called you and informed you she was running late," he said.

Rapudo added that if Obinna had any visual evidence of Amber Ray behaving inappropriately, he should present it, and if proven wrong, he would offer a personal apology.

"Obinna, you are a good friend and brother, and I respect your work. But Amber Ray did not behave inappropriately. If you have any evidence, please show it to us, and I will apologise to you personally," he concluded.
