King Kaka teams up with Iyanii on 'Braggadocious' ahead of 'Year of the Pen' album

King Kaka has released a new single titled Braggadocious featuring fellow musician Iyanii, offering fans an early preview of his highly anticipated album Year of the Pen.

The song, which is accompanied by an official music video, is now available on major streaming platforms ahead of the album's scheduled release on July 3, 2026.

The single serves as the lead promotional track for the upcoming project and revolves around themes of success, perseverance and gratitude.

Through the record, King Kaka and Iyanii reflect on the rewards of hard work, personal growth and the fulfilment of long-held ambitions.

Rather than focusing on material success alone, the track positions achievement as being grateful for the journey, proud of the work, and unashamed to celebrate progress when the wins finally arrive.

The two celebrate the journey from struggle to success while encouraging listeners to take pride in their accomplishments.

Iyanii adds a playful touch to the song, referencing how success has changed his lifestyle and opportunities.

King Kaka, meanwhile, delivers one of the track's standout lines: "Where is the shame when there is money to make?", a message that champions honest work and financial empowerment.

With its upbeat sound and motivational message, Braggadocious is expected to play a key role in building anticipation for Year of the Pen, an album that King Kaka says will showcase his storytelling abilities and artistic evolution.

The release marks the beginning of a new chapter for the rapper, who has spent more than a decade shaping Kenya's hip-hop landscape through music, spoken word and entrepreneurship.

As the founder of Kaka Empire, King Kaka has also been instrumental in nurturing talent within the country's creative industry.

Fans are now able to pre-order and pre-save Year of the Pen from the first week of June, ahead of its official release in July.
