Nikita Kering' meets viral look-alike dubbed 'Nikita Catering'

Kenyan singer Nikita Kering’ has finally met the woman who went viral on social media because of her striking resemblance to the award-winning musician.

Nikita visited the woman behind the Kiki’s Kitchen content account at her business premises in Kitengela, where the two posed for photographs and shared a light-hearted moment.

The woman had earlier caught the attention of Kenyans, who pointed out her resemblance to Nikita in photos and videos shared online.

The comparisons sparked a series of playful nicknames, with social media users referring to her as “Nikita Catering”, “Nikita Outering”, “Nikita wa Lipa Mdogo Mdogo” and “Nikita wa Bei ya Jioni”.

The two have now come face-to-face, giving social media users a chance to see them together.

A post shared on the Kiki’s Kitchen account showed the two women smiling as they posed for photographs.

“When finally you meet your twin,” the account captioned one of the photos.

The meeting has since reignited conversations about their resemblance, with many users continuing to compare their features.

One social media user, Suspect Unkown, commented on a post featuring the two women, writing: “Honestly speaking, she is not lookalike but astronomically and genetically copyright.”

Nikita is a Kenyan singer and songwriter who rose to prominence in the local R&B and soul music scene.

She gained wider recognition after performing at gospel singer Emmy Kosgei’s album launch in 2011 and later released songs including Ex and Tragedy.

Nikita has also received recognition at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), including the Best Female Artiste in Eastern Africa award in 2019.
