Kenyan boxing comedian and TikTok star Mbavu Destroyer has lost his popular TikTok account, leaving more than 712,000 followers unable to access his page.
The account, @naffynicky452, had amassed about 16.1 million likes before it became unavailable, cutting off his regular videos and live streams on the platform.
Though the cause of the deactivation has not been officially established, fans and followers linked it to recent viral stunts and boxing-themed comedy clips that allegedly violated TikTok’s community guidelines.
TikTok has however not publicly issued a detailed statement explaining why the account was taken down.
Mbavu Destroyer, whose real name is Ferdinand Omondi, is a 25-year-old from Migori County who later moved to Nairobi, where he lived in areas including Dandora and Mbotela.
Before rising to fame, Omondi worked as a watchman and trained using heavy building blocks, an experience that later became part of his street-style boxing persona.
He also underwent paramilitary-style training with the National Youth Service, which he has referenced as part of his public image.
Omondi rose to prominence in early 2026 through an online rivalry with fellow amateur boxer Portifas Odipo, popularly known as Majembe.
Their exchanges on TikTok attracted widespread attention and eventually led to the Vurugu Fight Night on April 4, 2026, at the Kasarani Indoor Arena. The event was organised by YouTuber Oga Obinna.
Mbavu lost the bout to Majembe by technical knockout, but the fight significantly raised his profile and turned the rivalry into one of Kenya’s most talked-about online boxing stories.
After the fight, he used his growing popularity to promote businesses and engage with fans. He also attracted attention after distributing flour to members of his community.
He later featured in Vurugu 2.0, where he stepped in as a replacement opponent after Majembe withdrew from the event.
The disappearance of his TikTok account has since sparked reactions from fans, many of whom had followed him for his boxing content, comedy and promotional videos.
With the account currently unavailable, Mbavu’s main TikTok platform for reaching his audience and securing digital promotions has been disrupted.
