Cess Mutungi set to host 'The Mommy Club NBO' reunion

Veteran radio presenter and media personality Cess Mutungi hosts the two-part reunion of The Mommy Club NBO, streaming started on August 29 and will run until September 5.

'The Mommy Club NBO' just dropped its finale, concluding an 11-week run that has seen the show top streaming charts week after week and dominate online conversations.

The reunion will see Cess have a sit down with the five mums - Jackie Matubia, Ofentse Tsipa, Lynne Njihia, Pierra Makena and Carey Priscilla - as they rehash the drama from the season.

A veteran of the airwaves, Cess was the powerhouse behind Classic 105's Drive Show and Capital FM's Jam 98.4, which she co-hosted and produced, cementing her as one of Kenya's most iconic radio presenters.

Known for her infectious laughter, signature husky voice, and a larger-than-life persona, Cess has built a reputation for being unapologetic and never shying away from the tough conversations.

She will be tasked with navigating the season's lingering feuds, unanswered questions and explosive moments, sitting down with the cast to unpack all the drama.

"I have always believed in women speaking their truth loudly. We will be tackling everything everyone is thinking but is too afraid to ask. My role will be to hold everyone accountable and get the answers the Mommy Club fans have been waiting for. Rest assured, no stone will be left unturned," Cess said.

Eugene Mbugua, executive producer at D&R Studios, affirmed Mutungi's hosting duties, saying: "Having Cess Mutungi host the reunion is the perfect full-circle moment. She is bold, dynamic, and unapologetically real - exactly what 'The Mommy Club NBO' stands for. Viewers should prepare for a reunion that is every bit as compelling as the season itself."

'The Mommy Club NBO' is the fifth instalment of the record-breaking 'Mommy Club' franchise following successful editions in South Africa and Tanzania.

Produced by D&R Studios, the team behind 'The Real Housewives of Nairobi', the show follows the lives of five affluent Kenyan mothers as they navigate the unique blend of parenting, ambition, and glamour in Nairobi.
