Karen Nyamu addresses feud between Pritty Vishy and Bishop Kiengei

Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has shared her thoughts on the ongoing controversy between content creator Pritty Vishy and Bishop Muthee Kiengei.

The drama began after the Bishop made remarks about Pritty Vishy that sparked a backlash, leading to his public apology on social media.

Senator Nyamu, known for her candid opinions, addressed the issue on her Facebook page. She commented on how social media criticism is something she's grown accustomed to since entering the public eye in 2017.

“Hahaha unajua kwanini nacheka, me huambiwa vitu mingi hapa social media since I got to the limelight in 2017. All kind of things. Mostly I notice when it’s facts and I improve myself. Like when I commented on finance bill 2024 before I had bothered to familiarize myself with it. She went on to reveal that she had previously been criticised by Pritty Vishy in a video.

“So sometime back, I see notifications on Instagram that prity vishy has mentioned me. I was curious because I actually like her. Wueh, kalikua kamenitusi kweli kweli kwa video posted by a blogger. Na nikaskia kidogo disappointed that the love wasn't mutual,” added Nyamu.

Referring to the current situation, Nyamu commented on Vishy’s reaction to the Bishop’s remarks.

“Today she’s crying because of lighter statements made about her. Yes, I said lighter. I know Bishop is a comedian and he also shoots straight and can go overboard. But get his point. He wants Vishy to actually pick a hustle or something to be known about n not just her association with Simple Boy. If she can get that fact she can improve herself,” said Nyamu

Nyamu also acknowledged the Bishop’s apology, saying, “As for the way he said it I see he has apologised. No need to go into it. On the other hand Vishy will never apologise to me lol, though me ata sinanga noma.”

Bishop Muthee Kiengei had earlier issued a public apology after his remarks about Pritty Vishy drew widespread criticism.

In his apology, he admitted that he had gone too far and asked for forgiveness, saying, “I take this moment to highly apologise for mentioning your name in a show where I went overboard and mentioned you in a wrong way. Please find it in your heart to forgive me for addressing you incorrectly. This will never happen in the future.”

Pritty Vishy, however, responded strongly, questioning the Bishop’s respect for women and the teachings of the church.

Do you know the verse that says we are all created in the likeness and image of God? Do you have a wife? Daughter? Mother? Do you know the meaning of respect? Do you respect them? What do you preach to your church members?" she asked.

She stated her frustration, especially regarding the impact of the comments on her family.

"How do you feel now that you have embarrassed me publicly? Do you know I have a mother? Do you know how she feels about this?" she wrote.
