Yesterday, Kenyans were shocked when local administration destroyed more than 600 litres of local brew from Mlolongo phase 3 area in Machakos County.
What was even more shocking was the fact that red panties were found soaked inside illicit alcohol stored in large containers. Working on a tip from local residents, police raided the homestead of Josephine Moraa where they netted 600 litres of Busaa and 60 litres of Chang’aa concealed in several 100 litres containers.
“These drinks are destroying our lives and our health. It is a shame to find women innerwear inside a drink. The Government should ban these kinds of alcohol and let the perpetrators face the rule of law,” a resident said, adding that the panties are used for witchcraft to confuse men from going back to their homes.
“Dear women, once we taste these alcoholics with dipped panties, we cannot go back home. It is that attractive,” the unnamed resident told The Nairobian.
Mlolongo Assistant County Commissioner Dennis Onganga, asked members of the public to work closely with the relevant authorities to save their homes from negative influence.
“Don’t let illicit brews be sold in our homes because it will negatively impact our lives and our childrens. If you happen to find a place selling illicit liquor, report to the nearest police station,” he said.
Moraa was arrested and detained at Mlolongo Police Station. Another resident of Mlolongo called on the government to ban the sale of the illicit brews within Mlolongo town.
