Tusker FC midfielder Fabian Adikiny has been named the club’s Player of the Season during the team’s End-of-Season Awards ceremony held at Ruaraka on Thursday, July 9.

Adikiny emerged as the club’s standout performer in a campaign that saw Tusker FC win the FKF MozzartBet Cup and secure qualification for continental football through the CAF Confederation Cup.

Speaking after receiving the top individual accolade, Adikiny attributed the award to the collective effort of the entire squad and technical bench.

“I am truly honoured to be named Player of the Season. This award means a lot to me because it reflects the hard work, discipline, and support from my teammates, coaches, and the entire Tusker FC family,” he said.

“We went through a challenging season, but we stayed united, believed in each other and finished strongly. I want to thank everyone who has been part of my journey and promise to keep pushing for even greater success for this club.”

The awards celebrated outstanding performances across the squad following a successful season for the Brewers.

Striker Eric Kapaito was recognized as the club’s top scorer after netting eight goals during the campaign, while goalkeeper Pavelh Ndzila claimed the Golden Glove Award following an impressive second half of the season after joining the club mid-season.

Forward Ian Simiyu, whose brace helped Tusker defeat Kenya Police FC in the FKF MozzartBet Cup final at Kwale Stadium, was named Forward of the Season.

Defender Charles Momanyi earned the Defender of the Season award, while Tanzanian midfielder Ibrahim Joshua received the Goal of the Season accolade.

Eugene Ikutwa was named Young Player of the Season, Francis Odour took home the Most Improved Player award, and Thomas Teka was recognized as the Most Disciplined Player.

Beyond the men’s team, Sweaney Odhiambo of UEFA Despanol, Tusker FC’s associated women’s side, was named Ladies Team MVP, while Dennis Chimano won the Youth Team MVP award.

Speaking during the ceremony, Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) Marketing and Innovations Director Mark Mugisha reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the club as it prepares for continental football.

“As we celebrate tonight, I also want to reaffirm KBL's commitment to the future of Tusker FC. Qualification for continental football marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter not just for this club, but for Kenyan football,” Mugisha said.

He added that the company would continue investing in the club to strengthen its foundations and support its growth as it seeks success on the continental stage.

Tusker FC will now shift focus to preparations for the new season and its CAF Confederation Cup campaign as the club looks to build on its domestic cup success.
