Away from the game, many of the tournament's biggest names also share their lives with partners who have built successful careers of their own.

Antonela Roccuzzo

Argentina captain Lionel Messi is married to his childhood sweetheart, Antonela Roccuzzo. The pair grew up together in Rosario, Argentina, and tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2017.

Antonela is a model, entrepreneur and social media influencer. They have three sons, Thiago, Mateo and Ciro.

Inés García

Spain star Lamine Yamal, 18, is dating 21-year-old social media creator Inés García from Seville. She is known for creating fashion and beauty content online.

The couple fuelled dating speculation after being spotted on holiday in Greece before making their relationship public at a Barcelona team dinner in May 2026.

García also travelled to Atlanta to support Yamal during Spain's opening World Cup match, sharing photos from the occasion on Instagram.

Georgina Rodríguez
