A man accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend by inserting a wooden stick into her private parts and threatening to kill her over suspected infidelity has been granted a Sh500,000 bond pending review of bail.
S. W. M.q!l, alias Weche, was presented before Makadara Chief Magistrate Beatrice Kimemia. He was charged with multiple serious offences.
According to the prosecution, the incident occurred between 8pm on May 12, 2026, and 6am the following day at Zimmerman Estate in Kasarani, Nairobi County. Weche is alleged to have unlawfully penetrated the complainant using a wooden stick.
He faces additional charges of issuing death threats on multiple occasions between May 12 and 14, 2026. The accused is claimed to have told her court heard that he uttered “Nitakuuwa na nikutupe kwa hii trench yenye iko hapo nje” (I will kill you and dump your body in this trench outside), words which prosecutors say were intended to cause fear and harm. The man has also been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.
The couple had been in a relationship and frequently spent time together.
On the fateful day, the complainant informed her lover of her plans to move out of her mother’s house and rent her own accommodation.
The revelation triggered a furious reaction from the accused, who accused her of infidelity, claiming she wanted to live alone so that she could spend time with another man.
Later that evening, Weche called the complainant to inquire about her whereabouts.
He tracked her down at TRM, where he allegedly began slapping and kicking her in public. He then dragged her to his house, where the assault escalated.
Inside the house, the man reportedly demanded that she undress before he repeatedly inserted a piece of wood into her vagina while slapping her with a panga (machete) on the head while threatening to kill her.
In the middle of the night, he allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened to kill her. Overwhelmed by fear and violence, the complainant said she was too terrified to raise an alarm.
The following day, Weche locked her inside the house and left for work. Upon his return, he continued the assault her until the complainant managed to escape and report the matter to the police. She presented the weapons used in the attack as evidence.
The man was subsequently arrested and arraigned at the Makadara Law Courts. The case will be mentioned on October 28, 2026.
