American actor and rapper Bryshere Y. Gray, best known for his role as Hakeem Lyon in the hit series Empire, has sparked excitement after teasing a possible remix of Mejja’s hit song “Siaka Siaka.”
The star was recently spotted in Nairobi, where he was recorded vibing to the track in what appeared to be a recording studio.
The unexpected interest has fuelled speculation about a potential collaboration that could push the Genge hit onto a global stage, with fans now waiting for confirmation on whether a remix is in the works or simply a playful moment.
However, away from the collaboration rumours, many fans did not feel the vibe.

"I am going to start a petition to stop this from being released," wrote one on X.
"He's talented but extremely vulgar and had a serious assault case in the US. Is he on the run?" posed another.
Siaka Siaka, a popular East African Afro-pop and Genge track by Mejja featuring Ugandan artist Fik Fameica, has remained a viral favourite thanks to its catchy hook, humour-driven lyrics and high-energy dance challenge.
The track has been widely shared online, with celebrities and fans joining in on the choreography, helping cement its status as one of the region’s standout recent hits.
If a remix featuring Gray materialises, it would mark a notable crossover moment for East African music, potentially widening the song’s international reach.
