Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami has rallied behind her baby daddy, Arrow Bwoy, after his defeat to Ugandan businessman and socialite Shakib Cham Lutaaya at the Vurugu 2 celebrity boxing event.

Taking to Instagram shortly after the bout, Nadia praised Arrow Bwoy for stepping into the ring for the first time and urged him not to be discouraged by the loss.

She said that despite the result, he had still managed to capture public attention and become one of the most talked-about personalities at the event.

“To Baba Watoto, for a first fight, you tried a lot! Your first time in the arena and you did it! You brought showbiz and skills as that was the most anticipated match of Vurugu 2 because of you. People are talking about Arrow Bwoy and that’s enough. Ignore the hate and the memes. Some can’t even survive half a round. Now up you go! Keep training. Big stages ahead,” she wrote.

Her message came after Arrow Bwoy suffered a technical knockout (TKO) loss to Shakib in the headline bout held at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi.

The fight had generated significant buzz across East Africa, fuelled by weeks of online exchanges and a heated weigh-in during which Arrow Bwoy threw an egg at his opponent.

Once the fight began, Shakib took control early, applying sustained pressure on the Kenyan musician.

Arrow Bwoy struggled to settle into the contest as the Ugandan dominated exchanges, prompting the referee to stop the fight and award Shakib a technical knockout victory after a one-sided performance.

The clash was among the most anticipated on the Vurugu 2 card, an entertainment and boxing showcase organised by media personality Oga Obinna.

The event combined celebrity boxing, professional bouts and live music performances, drawing thousands of fans at the venue and online.

Nadia's message was widely praised by fans who applauded her for standing by him and encouraging resilience in the face of defeat.
