Nairobi’s live music scene is set for a new addition with the launch of Peaches & Cream, a daytime Afro-RnB and Afro-pop experience scheduled for September 26 at Ngong Racecourse & Golf Park.

Organised by Crispy Life Events, the event marks the company’s latest concept following previous productions such as Rhythm & Brunch and Millennials Cookout.

Running from 2pm, the debut edition will spotlight live African music, outdoor entertainment and a relaxed daytime social setting targeting younger audiences.

According to the organisers, Peaches & Cream was created in response to rising demand for daytime events that blend live performances with a more laid-back atmosphere than traditional nightlife formats.

The event will feature Afro-RnB, Afro-pop and Afro-house music across the afternoon and into the evening.

The lineup includes performances from Xenia Manasseh, Kethan, Bridget Blue, Njerae, Watendawili, Ochiko and Nikita Kering. Later in the day, Afro-house DJs IV, Bune, Darkfruit and Smolls will take over the decks.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Crispy Life Events founder Dickson Matata said the event aims to merge live performances and DJ sets in a single daytime format.

“Peaches & Cream is something we have wanted to build for years. The idea is to create an experience where people can enjoy live performances during the day and transition into Afro-house sessions as the evening sets in. We are building on lessons from our previous events while introducing something different to Nairobi’s entertainment scene,” he said.

Tickets are available via the Mookh ticketing platform.
