The Government has issued a notice for collection of passports, saying the 110,059 uncollected travel documents will be disposed off in six months
The Immigration Department has also suspended the requirement for applicants to book an appointment to collect their passports.
Parliament has recommended that Kenyans applying for passports receive the travel document within three days of submitting their application.
The Immigration Department on Tuesday, April 30 notified that it is currently experiencing challenges with processing the crucial documents.
Kenyan passports will be processed within seven days of application from August 1, 2024, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has said.
