An adviser to Qatar's foreign minister had been dispatched to the Islamic Republic,
Trump branded Iran's terms for ending the Middle East war "totally unacceptable", raising the possibility of fresh conflict and sending oil prices sharply higher in early Asia trade on Monday.
Asked whether there could be a deal with Iran this coming week, Trump said: "I do see a deal in Iran. Could be soon."
According to the Israel ambassador, Iran was developing nuclear weapons intended to threaten Israel, the wider Middle East, and the global community.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards, the ideological arm of the Islamic republic, said they had targeted the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, other American interests in the Gulf and Israel.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday reiterated a warning that Iran would be wiped "off the face of this earth" if Tehran ever succeeded in assassinating the US leader.
