Barbie star Margot Robbie is pregnant

The “Barbie” icon and beloved Marvel baddie Margot Robbie has confirmed she is pregnant. This will be the 34-year-old actress’ first child. The celebrity, who is married to Tom Ackerley, confirmed this news on Sunday, and they are reportedly delighted.

A source told People that the couple had wanted to start a family for quite some time.

"Family means a lot to both of them, and they knew early on in their relationship that being parents was something they really wanted," the source added.

Despite the pregnancy, the "Barbie" actress had not given any indication of it. While filming her latest movie, "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey," she remained professional and committed to her work. Margot looked amazing, vibrant, and had so much fun working with the crew and fellow actors. Even during long filming days, she braved through it all, and her enthusiasm made no one suspect that she was expecting.

However, this big news was not entirely a surprise. On July 7, Margot Robbie was spotted by paparazzi during her vacation at Lake Como with her husband Ackerley. She wore a white crop top that exposed her small baby bump and a black blazer. Paparazzi snapped a photograph, and people started speculating.

The wonderful news of her pregnancy comes after eight years of marriage. The power couple got married in 2016. In a Vogue interview, Margot Robbie disclosed details about their relationship. She met Tom while filming "Suite Française" in 2013. In the June 2016 issue of Vogue, she said:

“I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.
