Businessman gifts Stivo Simple Boy Sh100k after Andrew Kibe controversy

Popular businessman Hezekiah Kariuki has gifted singer Stivo Simple Boy Sh100,000 following the backlash over controversial remarks made by Andrew Kibe about the musician and his family.

Announcing the gift, Kariuki expressed that the gesture was a form of divine intervention for the artist.

"This is what happens when God is in the mix. Your enemy's weapon becomes your launching pad. Their opposition becomes your acceleration. What was meant to harm you becomes the very thing that opens doors you didn't even know existed," Kariuki wrote.

Another supporter, Sizzoh Kenya, shared similar sentiments, noting that people should sometimes pray for their detractors because they ultimately connect them to their destiny.

The financial boost is part of a larger wave of solidarity from the Kenyan entertainment industry, with several celebrities openly calling out controversial commentator Andrew Kibe for his insensitive remarks.

Comedian Mulamwah strongly urged Kibe to keep children out of celebrity feuds, while fellow comedian Blessed Njugush declared himself a dedicated fan and encouraged the singer to remain strong.

Content creator Remcy Don defended Stivo's right to start a family without being subjected to ridicule, and rapper Scar Mkadinali also voiced his support.

Prophet Victor Kanyari condemned the body-shaming, insisting that no one should ever be mocked for their physical appearance.

Stivo's wife, Brenda Ochieng, similarly stood by her husband, describing him as a handsome man who was created perfectly by God.

The entire controversy began after Kibe appeared on a podcast hosted by Dr Ofweneke, where the duo discussed deeply personal matters concerning Stivo and his family.

The remarks immediately sparked widespread condemnation online, igniting a broader conversation about the boundaries of public commentary.

Following the intense public outcry, Dr Ofweneke deleted the controversial podcast segment and offered a formal apology.

He later went a step further by personally visiting Stivo Simple Boy to express his regrets and extend his support to the musician.
