The Supreme Court has temporarily halted the eviction of former Limuru MP George Njau Mbugua Nyanja and his wife from their Karen property.
Nyamu has attributed her controversial remarks about a Grade 10 student visiting the Senate gallery to a momentary lapse, prompting renewed criticism despite her earlier apology.
“More is expected when one is not only a senator, but also an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya,” she said.
Karen Nyamu has issued an unreserved apology after facing backlash over inappropriate remarks she made at the Senate, with Speaker Amason Kingi compelling her to formally apologise.
The ceremony that was highly publicized online and which saw the controversial senator being honoured as a Nyakinyua while sipping Muratina, the Gikuyu traditional brew, has been labeled as a farce.
Kikuyu elders have dismissed the coronation of Nominated senator Karen Nyamu as a political gimmick, falling short of traditions.
