For all fitness lovers, this is your time to shine.  Fitness sensation and the ‘King of Squats’ Nkululeko Dlamini is in Kenya and ready for a showdown tomorrow.

The enthusiastic fitness instructor will be teaching a thing or two about growing bigger glutes at an event dubbed the King Fitness Explosion Challenge that will be held at the Waterfront Mall, Karen.

Commenting on the event, Seth Enos, the Marketing Manager at The Standard Media Group, emphasized the importance of physical fitness and wellness as foundational to a healthy nation.

“This partnership allows us to actively engage with our audiences in promoting physical and mental well-being,” he said.

“We invite everyone to join us at Karen Waterfront to interact with the King of Squats and KTN Home.”

The expected activities at the event include; Zumba, Rhumba, Katabox, and Squats. For all the fitness junkies, this is the place to be this weekend.

Nkululeko holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and is a former professional football player, who played in South Africa’s premier league.

He played in the Mayor’s Cup and got scouted by AmaZulu FC with hopes of being signed by them. The team then held off and promised to get back to him. Since he had no control over the matter, he decided to continue with his education hoping he would become a professional football player someday.

However, he was later approached by both AmaZulu and Jomo Cosmo but signed with the latter. However, he did not get enough chances to showcase his talent in soccer thus making a shift to fitness.

“To attain and maintain a body like mine requires fitness and a lot of commitment. I am a former professional soccer player in South Africa. Before I became a fitness instructor, I played in the PSL (Premier Soccer League) and fitness and exercise became part of my life.”

He rose to fame in 2023 after his signature exercise routine, the 'core train', broke the internet. After that, he became a fitness trainer to the Swazi king’s son and wife.

“Core train is inspired by an actual train and its movement. A train is made up of a head, a middle, and an end. It is a whole body that cannot function or move without the other parts. This is why the exercises are full-body and performed in a group. We follow each other like Istimela.” he said.

Dlamini is now a Kenyan favourite as people gather around him to witness his fit and built body.

“I feel happy that they see the fruitful results on me. In the fitness world, the most important thing is the results. After intensive working out and dedication, your body is supposed to show good results and that is why I feel happy when people stare at me or any person that I have trained. If you want a big ‘nyash’,chest, arms or thighs you can see it through me. This encourages people to be committed to the fitness course and ensure they have good results in the end.”

With fans and fitness lovers waiting for his coaching and training tomorrow, he says, “I would like to tell my fans especially the Kenyan ladies to not give up because everything is possible. If you want big glutes, you can get it through good diet, commitment and fitness.”
